West Ham United bid for goalkeeper wanted by Manchester United

As the summer transfer window heats up, West Ham United have bid for a goalkeeper Manchester United want and looked at.

A goalkeeper is high on the agenda for Manchester United this summer.

There have been several links with Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir linked with a move away.

The Red Devils have already reinforced their attack with the signings of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

Benjamin Sesko is also nearing closer to a move.

However the Red Devil’s plan is to still acquire a new goalkeeper.

Senne Lammens has given the green light to a potential move,

Emiliano Martinez has also been linked.

Gianlugi Donnarumma is another option on the list.

However, there is another name where there have been strong links withinrecent weeks.

And it now seems that Manchester United could lose out to West Ham United for him.

According to Fabrizio Romano via X, West Ham submitted a formal bid worth £7.9 million (€8m) for Brazilian GK John Victor from Botafogo.

 

If Andre Onana is unable to recover the consistency and form that drew the club to sign him from Inter Milan, Victor’s goalkeeping, aerial presence, and reliable passing could provide vital cover.

John Victor has been previously linked with a move to Manchester United.

Missing out on At 6′ 5″, he offers the physical supremacy that United has been demanding.

Instead of sitting passively, Victor takes initiative and frequently breaks his line to assert himself or punch clear.

In the Premier League, a goalkeeper who is in control of his area could be the difference between missed chances and clean sheets

This is due to the fact that there are always aerial battles and that every set piece could be dangerous.

Missing out on Victor will be a blow for the Red Devils.
