Al-Hilal have been amongst a number of clubs targeting Napoli striker Victor Osimhen over the last few weeks.
Manchester United were also in this list of clubs as they look to strengthen their striker base following their worst season in 50 years which included a 15th place in the Premier League and no silverware – in a domestic or European context.
Recently, it had looked like Al-Hilal were leading and were going to secure the signing of Osimhen. However, this deal was always in flux with the player having not fully agreed personal terms with the club.
Furthermore, the two clubs hadn’t agreed a fee for the striker with it being reported that Al-Hilal initial bid for the striker was rejected by the Italian champions.
However, it has now been reported by highly reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano that the deal is now set to collapse as an agreement with the player has not been reached.
This puts the striker back into the transfer market with several clubs now rumoured to be in the market for the striker.

Among these clubs is Galatasaray who are reported to have a strong deal in the race for the striker as they try to get the deal for the 26 year old.
This also could bring Manchester United into the conversation alongside a number of English and European clubs. Could United use their pulling power to add to their striker base and bring Osimhen to the club.
Whatever club he goes to, he will be adding talent to their line-up alongside a prolific scorer and dominant force in the air.
With the striker so in demand, can United pull him away from the grasps of other clubs or will the 26 year old choose another club to join in his pursuit to accelerate his career?
Only time will tell.
