Manchester United supporters are bracing themselves for another hectic week as the transfer window nears its conclusion, with Ruben Amorim’s squad adjustments continuing to make headlines.

After last night’s Carabao Cup humiliation against Grimsby Town, fans have been scrutinising every move at Old Trafford, especially as the club seeks to reshape the so-called ‘Bomb Squad’.

Questions remain over who will stay and who will leave before deadline day, with high-profile stars like Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho all being linked with exits in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, United are juggling negotiations across Europe and beyond, with clubs sensing opportunities to snap up underutilised players for a fraction of their potential worth.

One such player reportedly close to sealing a move is left-back Tyrell Malacia, who has attracted interest from La Liga side Elche.

Dutch outlet, Voetbal International, reported that Manchester United are already in talks over a loan deal, with the Dutch defender eager to return to a top-five European league and secure regular first-team football.

This comes after a series of earlier negotiations.

Lille were previously in discussions with United about Tyrell Malacia, but the deal never materialised, partly due to United’s stance at the time.

AS Roma also tried to engineer a double move, attempting to take both Malacia and Jadon Sancho to Serie A, but neither player was keen, prompting United to threaten to block the transfers entirely.

Besiktas and FC Porto also submitted enquiries, while an offer from Saudi Arabia was put on hold.

Now, Elche’s patient approach has captured Malacia’s attention.

The Spanish side reportedly travelled to Britain with a clear plan, promising ample playing time and a strong role for the former Feyenoord player.

Malacia met with the club on Monday evening, and the opportunity to play regularly in La Liga has clearly enthused him.

Lille also held talks with Malacia, but the absence of manager Bruno Genesio from those discussions reportedly cost them a key opportunity to sway the player.

With the transfer window closing rapidly, it seems increasingly likely that Elche will secure a deal to bring the Dutchman to Spain on loan, giving Malacia a fresh start away from Old Trafford.

For United, it could mark yet another high-profile departure before deadline day, reshaping the squad and providing clarity on who remains part of Ruben Amorim’s plans.
