Manchester United’s season has been one to forget.
Ruben Amorim’s side has lacked bite going forward, scoring just 38 goals in 33 Premier League matches – a tally that leaves them 14th in the division for goals scored.
Injuries to key players like Amad Diallo, poor performances m from Rasmus Hojlund and a lack of creativity in the final third have only made matters worse.
Despite tactical improvements under Amorim, United’s inability to break teams down has become a major concern.
It’s no surprise that the club is already planning major moves in the summer window to sharpen their attack and avoid another forgettable campaign.
Now, Manchester United are planning to offload several high-profile attackers to fund a double swoop worth a potential £92.5 million.
According to reports, the Red Devils have identified Wolves forward Matheus Cunha and Ipswich striker Liam Delap as priority signings.
Matheus Cunha, who has already impressed in a similar system to Amorim’s 3-4-2-1, has a release clause set at £62.5m, while Liam Delap’s clause will reportedly drop to £30m if Ipswich are relegated – a scenario that’s looking increasingly likely.

United’s strategy is clear: sell to buy.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony are all expected to be sold, with Aston Villa having the option to buy Rashford for £40m.
Jadon Sancho could be sold for up to £25m to Chelsea, while Antony’s loan spell at Real Betis has seen his value rise again – with United needing around £32.5m to avoid a loss on the Brazilian winger.
Sancho, whose contract ends next year, may yet return if Chelsea opt to pay a penalty rather than make the move permanent.
As for Marcus Rashford, sources claim the 27-year-old has “never been happier” away from Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim has already publicly praised Cunha, and the Brazilian is seen as the ideal fit for one of the two No.10 roles behind the striker.
Amad, who had shown promise in that position, has been sidelined for over two months, leaving a gap United are desperate to fill.
Cunha has already signalled his intent to leave Wolves, despite signing a new contract in January, and deleted a cryptic Instagram post hinting at a move.
United are now in discussions with Cunha’s camp over personal terms, with the forward open to doubling his £90,000-a-week wages.
Liam Delap, meanwhile, fits the club’s younger recruitment model and would arrive as a long-term solution.
With Amorim demanding reinforcements and United desperate for goals, a summer clear-out and attacking shake-up is already underway.
