With the arrival of Senne Lemmens, it felt as though action was finally taken in the summer transfer window to address the goalkeeping errors that have plagued Manchester United early on in the season.

Both Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana have not convinced in goal and remarkably, there have been goals conceded by United in every single match in the 25-26 season apart from against Fulham where Bayindir looked nervous on every set-piece.

Whether Lemmens starts or not remains to be seen but it is clear that both of United’s goalkeepers have had an utterly horrendous start to the season when both could’ve cemented the number one spot.

The door is open for Lemmens to thrive if given an opportunity as the errors have reduced the confidence the fans have in Onana and Bayindir.

Amorim and INEOS have already shown with their treatment of the ‘Bomb Squad’ that they are not afraid to make examples of players they ruthlessly want to get rid of if they feel they are toxic or not up to scratch.

The problem tends to be that United have players on such high wages they are hard to get rid of but Turkish side Trabzonspor may have offered the Red Devils a way out for one of their goalkeepers.

According to Turkish Publisher 61satt.com, Trabzonspor have made a loan offer for Andre Onana.

The Turkish Super Lig transfer window remains open until September 12th meaning there is time for the move to go ahead.

After long time goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir moved from Trabzonspor to Galatasaray for €36 million, Trabzonspor may be interested in the former Inter Milan goalkeeper.

Onana has not yet featured for United this season in the Premier League after his haphazard display vs Grimsby Town that saw the Red Devils crash out of the second round of the EFL Cup.

Furthermore, Onana created drama by requesting a new contract in the summer  as revealed by Laurie Whitwell in The Athletic, after receiving the standard 25% pay cut for failing to qualify for the Champions League.

With the goalkeeping issues at Old Trafford being a hot topic, Trabzonspor may have offered United and Onana the perfect resolution.
