Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have been recruiting players to help them prepare for their upcoming Premier League fixtures against Burnley and Arsenal respectively.
Both sides’ managers, Thomas Frank and Ruben Amorim, will be entering their first full seasons in their job roles.
Therefore, the pressure can be said to be on as both managers aim to improve on their respective side’s finishes last seasons and aim to push their sides closer to the European places in the upcoming season.

So far this summer, Spurs have signed six players including Mohammed Kudus from West Ham and Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich.
Similarly, United have made five signings which includes names such as Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brentford respectively.
But, even with five signings through the door, the Red Devils have still been linked with other players.
One of these players is Carlos Baleba who currently plays for Brighton and Hove Albion.
The midfielder, 21, has previously given the prospect of a move to Old Trafford his ‘green light.’
However, with Albion not wanting to sell Baleba for anything less than £87 million, the prospect of the Cameroon international joining United seems unlikely without the raising of funds through departures.
Now, according to Caught Offside, Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race for the midfielder.

If Spurs were to secure the signature of Carlos Baleba, the midfielder would be joining names such as James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall in the squad.
But, with the signing of Joao Palhinha earlier in the transfer window, Baleba would face direct competition for a starting position in Thomas Frank’s side.
If United were to secure Baleba’s signature, he would be joining names such as Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro in the squad and therefore would also face competition for a starting place.
With both clubs interested in the midfielder alongside Brighton’s own plans, the coming days and weeks will be pivotal in telling us where the 21-year-old will end up come the end of this summer.
