Manchester United fans have been closely monitoring the summer transfer window, particularly in attack, where decisions over forward options could define Ruben Amorim’s season.

The Red Devils have been juggling the futures of several forwards, balancing squad depth with financial strategy, while Europe’s elite clubs circle with interest in their emerging talents.

Fans have seen big names linked with exits this summer, making every update on potential deals crucial for supporters hoping to gauge the club’s plans.

One player, in particular, has become the centre of transfer chatter as clubs in Serie A make serious advances.

Napoli have reportedly made concrete progress in signing Manchester United’s Denmark international, Rasmus Hojlund, according to multiple Italian reports.

Journalist Ciro Venerato, speaking via Napoli Magazine, confirmed that the Serie A champions and United have reached a “total and definitive agreement” over the striker.

The deal is structured as a €5m loan for the 2025/26 season, with a conditional obligation to buy set at €40m, triggered if certain targets are met.

These conditions include appearances, goals scored, and Napoli securing Champions League qualification.

Venerato explained that the agreement is near finalisation, with Napoli having negotiated a slight reduction on the buyout figure due to accommodating Hojlund’s higher salary.

Rasmus Hojlund has reportedly agreed to personal terms, signing a five-year contract with the option for a sixth season, and Napoli are pushing to complete his medical before Thursday.

Other details, such as image rights, are still being finalised, but sources suggest the hard part of the deal is already done.

Multiple reports, including from Gianluca Di Marzio and Gazzetta dello Sport, indicate Rasmus Højlund has given the green light to join Napoli, and the Italian club’s focus on the Denmark forward has been unwavering.

Napoli only pursued him after ruling out alternative targets, such as Joshua Zirkzee, underlining how much they value Hojlund’s addition.

For Manchester United, this deal represents a potential €45m return from a player who has struggled for consistent minutes at Old Trafford.

The transfer, if completed, signals both the club’s willingness to cash in on emerging talent and Hojlund’s readiness to embrace a fresh challenge in Italy, wrapping up a story that has kept United supporters intrigued throughout the summer window.
