Manchester United have completed the signings of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

Both players are expected to play key roles in the No.10 position, with hopes they can add much-needed goals and creativity to United’s front line.

Despite these additions, United remain active in the transfer market as they continue to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.

However, further signings will depend on player sales, with five players currently training away from the first-team squad as they seek moves elsewhere.

Marcus Rashford appears to be the first of those set to leave.

The club has agreed a deal with Barcelona for a season-long loan that includes an option to buy, marking an end to Rashford’s long association with the club.

Once sales are confirmed, Manchester United will shift their focus to further signings, aiming to give Ruben Amorim the tools he needs to rebuild the squad.

Amorim will require time on the training ground with new arrivals to fully implement his tactical system and philosophy at the club.

According to David Ornstein, via The Atheltic, United have identified three key positions for reinforcement: a goalkeeper, a defensive midfielder, and a striker to replace Rasmus Hojlund, who struggled for goals last season.

These areas are seen as vital if United are to improve on their dismal 15th-place finish and return to competing at the top end of the Premier League.

The club is expected to act quickly once outgoing deals are finalised, ensuring new additions can integrate with the squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

United have already begun laying the groundwork to make these signings.

The club has made contact over a move for Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens, who is viewed as a promising young talent capable of pushing Andre Onana for the No.1 spot.

In the striker department, United have shown interest in both Benjamin Sesko and Ollie Watkins, although they are yet to finalise their preferred target for the position.

As for the defensive midfield role, no strong links have emerged so far, but the club’s intention to strengthen in this crucial area will be welcomed by supporters, especially after last season’s struggles in the middle of the park.
