With his contract expiring next summer, Tyrell Malacia’s time with Manchester United is coming to an end.

He will not be included in Ruben Amorim’s team going forward.

He is therefore one of five unwelcome players at Old Trafford who have been excluded from team practices in order to focus on leaving the team.

Prior to moving to Barcelona, Malacia was a part of the “bomb squad,” working one-on-one with Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jadon Sancho.

He has struggled getting any links to move away this summer.

But now he is linked to three clubs.

According to Joost Blaauwhof via X, AS Roma is in pole position in the race for Tyrell Malacia while Porto and Besiktas are also interested.

Fabrizio Romano initally broke the AS Roma interest earlier today.

Additionally, he notes that these were discussed during the negotiations for Jadon Sancho and have been used to negotiate terms for Malacia.

Tyrell Malacia, who joined United from Feyenoord in 2022, has struggled to establish himself as a reliable starter at left-back.

He has often played second fiddle to Luke Shaw and then fallen in the rankings due to injury setbacks.

Despite playing more games in his first season under Erik ten Hag, he missed the most of the following campaign because of ongoing fitness problems.

Even though the Dutch international still has time remaining on his contract, United would like to cash in now rather than keep a player who doesn’t seem to match Amorim’s tactical ambitions.

With Diogo Dalot, Harry Amass, Shaw, and Patrick Dorgu all are able to play in the left wing back role too.
