Reports coming in from Tuttojuve are claiming that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is looking to sign Manchester City full back Yan Couto.

The right back has been enjoying a fine season on loan at Girona helping them to a fine, fine campaign that has seen them secure Champions League football.

The right back is still only 21 and he could prove to be a very fine investment as competition for Diogo Dalot, even more so with rumours of Wan-Bissaka’s exit as centredevils covered.

Standing at only 168 cm he is not the tallest or the strongest, but shows good anticipation and positioning, giving some fair contribution in the defensive phase.

Yan Couto stands out for his technical prowess and, despite having some points to improve, seems to have a bright future ahead of him.

According to the report, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Juventus also interested in the Manchester City man and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top come the summer.

The Citizens are reportedly looking to get €40m for Couto and with Man United walking a thin line with FFP rules, some sales may need to be made prior to anything of substance developing.

A signing like that would have that right flank sorted for at least the next decade in a healthy Dalot-Couto rotation providing enough cover unlike has been the case this season.
