Sheffield Wednesday have officially signed one of Manchester United’s talented defenders in a bid to fight their way up the Championship table.
The Sheffield side have been in the Championship for two years now after a brief two year stint in League One, back now in the second-tier of English football, where they’ve spent the majority of the last two decades.
In 2023/24 they narrowly escaped the drop, coming 20th, whilst last season saw them perform much better, ending the year in 12th.
Now, The Owls have officially announced Manchester United’s Harry Amass as their new defensive signing on loan for the season.

The announcement was not only done as a post, but also with an unveiling video, showing off Amass in their excitement to have him at the club.
Speaking for the first time as a Sheffield Wednesday player, Amass commented: “I’m very excited, I can’t wait to get going and I’m just really happy that it has all happened.”
He continued: “I think as a player, I would say I’m exciting, I’m confident, I’m hard-working and really ready for this challenge.
“One of my biggest strengths is that I believe in myself, I know what I’m capable of and my main goal is to perform week in, week out and show consistency. I want to be exciting for the fans to watch.”
When asked about why he wanted to play for The Owls, Amass commented: “I just had a good feeling instantly when I spoke to the manager.
“I got the feeling that this will be the best place for me, the history of the place is massive and that’s why I chose here.
“I think I’ve learned a lot, the move to Manchester United was a good step, the right step for me and since then I’ve been with the first team.
“From that I have taken a lot of things, learned a lot of things and it has really developed me as a player.”
