A midfielder is high on the agenda for Manchester United this summer.
Their pursuit of their top target Carlos Baleba came to a halt yesterday.
The club felt that the financials were too high for Baleba, and Brighton weren’t giving them a price.
They will now turn their attention to alternatives as they aim to bolster their midfield.
Now another midfielder target has been linked too.

According to InfoSevillismo on X, Lucien Agoume of Sevilla is being mentioned in connection with Manchester United.
Agoume is a defensive midfielder capable of playing in a pivot, making him perfect for Amorim’s system.
He has represented France in multiple youth international competitions, including the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
He spent time on loan at various clubs, including Spezia Calcio, Stade Brestois, and Troyes, gaining valuable experience.
Sevilla FC signed him on loan in January 2024, and after an impressive six-month spell, they made the move permanent for around £7 million.
His performances in the youth national team earned him recognition, with FIFA naming him among the top ten notable players in the tournament.
He has also since been excelling in La Liga, with many clubs monitoring the situation for the French midfielder.
A move to Manchester United makes sense with the Red Devils in search of a midfielder.
Agoume’s technical skillset can provide great competition alongside Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Bruno Fernandes.
Toby Collyer’s loan move has been officially confirmed, leaving Ruben Amorim’s side short of options in the middle.
With Casemiro likely leaving next year too, a midfielder has to be a priority this summer.
Agoume could be the perfect fit for Ruben Amorim’s side in the present time.
