Senne Lammens has been a goalkeeper on the shortlist of Manchester United for many weeks as the Red Devils look towards the transfer market in their pursuit of a new number one.

Currently, Ruben Amorim has three goalkeepers at his disposal.

These include United’s current number one Andre Onana, backup goalkeeper Altay Bayindir – who started the game against Arsenal last week -, and Tom Heaton.

But, with Onana’s mistakes last season on several occasions, the recruitment team have looked towards several goalkeepers in the market including Lammens.

So far, we have seen Manchester United agree terms with the goalkeeper over a potential move to Old Trafford.

Furthermore, the Royal Antwerp goalkeeper’s agent had met with representatives from the Red Devils, as exclusively revealed by centredevils earlier in the week.

Now, an important update has emerged on the prospect of the Belgian joining up with Ruben Amorim’s squad as the Red Devils prepare for tomorrow’s game at Fulham.

According to the Mirror, Manchester United are set to win the race for Senne Lammens.

The Red Devils had previously been monitoring the Royal Antwerp stopper and now have lined up a deal that will see them pay £16million plus a package of add-ons.

It is also understood by the Mirror that the 22-year-old does want to move to Old Trafford this summer which is expected considering the ‘keeper gave a potential move to United his green light earlier in the summer, as exclusively revealed by centredevils.

If Lammens does join Manchester United, it arguably would raise eyebrows about the long-term future of Andre Onana as United’s number one.

Furthermore, the goalkeeper would become the Red Devils’ sixth signing of the summer following the signing of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko amongst others.
