Over recent months, Manchester United have been linked with a range of goalkeeper options as replacements for Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir amid struggling seasons for both last year.
However, as the 2025/26 Premier League season is now underway, with only just over a week left of the summer transfer window, the hunt for a new keeper seemingly looked over, with Ruben Amorim backing his current options.
Now though, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed this isn’t the case, as United are still pushing for Royal Antwerp’s Senne Lammens.
CentreDevils previously revealed that the Belgian keeper has green-lit a move to Old Trafford, with Romano now explaining that personal terms for Lammen’s move are nearly agreed.
Romano also explains that United are in active talks for the goalkeeper, being aware of interest from other clubs.
One such club is local rivals Manchester City who are reportedly looking to Lammens as a back-up to Gianluigi Donnarumma as talks with PSG are starting to stall.
As such, United are seemingly stepping up their pursuit of Lammens to avoid missing out on yet another target this summer.
Whilst The Red Devils have signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, a range of other targets have joined other clubs, and in the majority of cases, Premier League rivals.
James Trafford joined Manchester City, Liam Delap moved to Chelsea, Viktor Gyokeres joined Arsenal and Liverpool signed Hugo Ekitike, snapping up several key names on United’s summer shortlist.
Now, The Red Devils will be hoping the same won’t happen again with Senne Lammens.
With Lammens already highlighting he wants to move to Old Trafford, there is hope that the goalkeeper won’t slip through United’s fingers, however, with the transfer market always changing, United will need to move quickly to seal the move.
