Manchester United’s summer rebuild has taken centre stage once again, with Ruben Amorim pushing for key departures to free up funds for new arrivals.

Having already added Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, the Red Devils are now looking to shift players who no longer fit the club’s vision moving forward.

Among those expected to leave is a winger who was once the second-most expensive signing in United’s history but has since failed to justify his price tag.

With pre-season now in full swing and the Premier League season looming, pressure is mounting for United to make progress in the transfer market—both in and out.

And the latest developments suggest that the next big exit may come from a surprising direction.

Antony’s future at Manchester United has become increasingly uncertain, with Sky Sports confirming that two of Saudi Arabia’s top clubs are now weighing up a move for the Brazilian winger.

Although Real Betis had previously been exploring the possibility of re-signing him following his successful loan spell last season, their financial situation has made a permanent deal unlikely.

Antony scored seventeen goals and registered five assists in the league for the Spanish side, rekindling some of the form that prompted United to splash £86 million on him back in 2022.

While Betis are open to another loan, United would prefer a permanent transfer, but concrete offers have yet to materialise.

Interest has also come from several European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, and Bayern Munich.

However, Leverkusen manager Erik ten Hag has played down links, saying, “We are not interested at the moment,” before adding, “We’ll see what happens in the future,” hinting at a potential deal only if United drop their asking price.

Bayern Munich are focused on signing a left-winger instead, while Atletico have yet to take formal steps.

Although Antony would prefer to remain in Europe, sources close to the player suggest he may now be open to hearing proposals from the Middle East, as interest from Saudi Arabia continues to grow.

United, for their part, are keen to resolve the situation before the season kicks off.
