It’s been a busy summer of new beginnings for several former Manchester United players.
Nick Powell recently dropped down the divisions to begin a fresh chapter at Bradford City.
Elsewhere, Marcos Rojo returned home to Argentina to sign for Racing Club, while Ethan Hamilton sealed a move to Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.

The latest of those is Nemanja Matic, who has officially signed for Sassuolo on a deal running until June 2026, as officially confirmed via website.
The deal includes a option of a further year depending on performance-related conditions.
The Serbian midfielder, nicknamed The Wolf, joins with a wealth of experience, leadership and a glittering career behind him.
Having come through in Serbia before his first move to England in 2009, Matic rose to prominence at Chelsea and Benfica, winning multiple league titles and domestic cups before heading back to Stamford Bridge to reunite with Jose Mourinho in 2014.
Three years later, Mourinho took him to Old Trafford, where Matic became a pillar in United’s midfield and a consistent performer across more than 120 appearances in red.
His career numbers highlight his stature in the game – 251 Premier League appearances, 107 outings in European competition and 48 caps for Serbia.
On top of that, his honours list includes three Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a League Cup, a Portuguese Championship, three Portuguese League Cups and a Slovakian Cup.
For United fans, though, Matic will always be remembered as a reliable servant, particularly during Mourinho’s reign, where his composure and tactical discipline helped solidify the midfield.
Now 37, he brings that same blend of experience and authority to Sassuolo, becoming the most decorated player ever to wear the club’s black and green shirt.
