Manchester United are actively focusing on outgoings during this summer transfer window.

After spending over £120 million on new signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, United need to sell some of their assets before making further investments.

The club are targeting a goalkeeper, midfielder, and striker, with recent links to Royal Antwerp’s Senne Lammens and forwards Ollie Watkins and Benjamin Sesko.

However, United must first raise funds.

Ruben Amorim had removed five first-team players from his training squad, none of whom have travelled on the pre-season tour of the USA.

The first of these players, Marcus Rashford, has joined Barcelona on a loan deal with an option to buy.

The remaining four, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia  are still at the club.

Amorim commented on their futures in his most recent press conference, stating:

“Omar [Berrada] and Jason [Wilcox] have a number for these players. If that isn’t reached, they will be United players. I am ready to receive the players. I have more options and if they have to fight each other to play, that is perfect.”

Although United are open to offloading these players, they remain firm on their valuation and will not be pressured into selling below their asking price.

For years, United have been taken advantage of in the market, often overpaying for players and selling at a loss.

Now, under INEOS, the club is determined to operate more efficiently and become one of the best-run clubs in the league.

If United receive suitable offers for the players in Amorim’s so-called “bomb squad,” they will allow them to leave,  but there is no desperation to sell, and Ruben Amorim is more than willing to give them another chance if moves do not materialise this summer.
