Manchester United have continued to reshape their squad this summer, with Ruben Amorim focusing on integrating new signings and trimming the roster of players who no longer feature in his plans.

The Red Devils have already strengthened their attack with Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, as Amorim looks to build a team capable of having a better campaign that last season.

Fringe players and youngsters were given opportunities to impress during pre-season, while speculation over potential departures has grown louder.

Fans have been closely following every development, aware that the final days of the transfer window often deliver surprises.

With just a week to go, the focus is shifting from arrivals to outgoings.

Amid this activity, attention has turned to Antony, the Brazil international whose future at Old Trafford has been in doubt for months.

According to Mike McGrath, via X, Manchester United and Real Betis have reached an agreement in principle over a deal to send Antony back to Spain.

The former Ajax forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Betis, impressing with nine goals and five assists in 26 appearances and helping the La Liga side reach the Europa Conference League final.

Despite this success, Antony has been left out of United’s pre-season plans and has not trained with the first-team this summer.

The 25-year-old, earning £150,000-a-week at Old Trafford, has been clear that his future lies elsewhere, with Betis emerging as the most likely destination.

McGrath reports that the deal being discussed is a loan with an obligation to buy next year, reflecting Betis’ long-term interest in securing Antony permanently.

Reports suggest that Betis put forward a final offer for Antony to Manchester United, which now appears to have been accepted.

The move also fits into United’s broader summer strategy, which includes potential departures for Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho.

Meanwhile, United are expected to complete the signing of goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp for around £17m, with personal terms already agreed, and could still pursue a midfielder if the right opportunity arises.

With the transfer window closing fast, Antony’s move appears set to be one of the first high-profile outgoings of the final week, allowing United to focus on integrating their new arrivals and finalising the squad for the season ahead.
