Manchester United’s summer transfer plans could be influenced by developments in Spain as one of La Liga’s midfielders edges closer to the exit door.
United’s squad reshaping under Ruben Amorim continues, and while the focus is currently on signing a striker, defensive midfielder, and goalkeeper, outgoings are just as important.
Antony’s situation remains unresolved following his loan spell at Real Betis, with the Spanish side keen to negotiate a permanent deal for the Brazilian winger.

United are open to offers for Antony, but any move could hinge on Betis generating funds or freeing up wages — and that’s where Dani Ceballos comes in.
The Real Madrid midfielder is once again at the centre of transfer speculation, with his future at the Bernabeu far from settled.
According to AS, Dani Ceballos is eager to rejoin his former club Real Betis, and even published a cryptic Instagram story suggesting he had “tried everything” to make it happen — a message he deleted after it caused a stir online.
The 28-year-old is reportedly willing to take a pay cut to secure the move, but the deal is proving difficult due to Real Madrid’s demands.

Betis are said to have offered €5 million (£4.2 million), while Madrid are holding out for €15 million (£13 million).
Ceballos, currently on holiday, made it clear just days ago that he still dreams of playing for Betis again, stating: “The Betis is my home and always will be. Hopefully, the door is always open.”
Despite the mutual interest, no formal meetings have been held between the two clubs yet, although both sides remain open to talks in the coming days.
Should the deal go through, it could hinder Antony’s chances of moving back to Spain, where he impressed during his loan spell in Seville.
With United eager to offload players before making big moves, Antony’s future may well be decided by how Ceballos’ situation unfolds in the Spanish capital.
