Manchester United have been pushing to offload unwanted winger Antony throughout the summer, with Real Betis continuously pursuing their recent star.

Antony found his form once more on a loan spell with Real Betis as the LaLiga side made it through to the UEFA Conference League final against Chelsea.

Despite Antony returning to Old Trafford the two clubs have been in frequent talks over a permanent move back to Spain for the winger.

Whilst with Betis, scored nine goals and five assists in 26 appearances, nearly matching his record for United in 96 games of only three more goals, despite the 70 extra games.

His performances not only won over the Betis fans, but also new Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti who recalled the winger to his first national team selection, however neglected to bring Antony off the bench against Ecuador or Paraguay.

In Betis’ bid to retain Antony, the Spanish side set out a final offer to buy 50% of the winger for around £17.5 million (€20 million), seeing United retain 50% of the player rights.

Now, Sky Sports has revealed that terms for a permanent move have been agreed between United and Betis.

As such, all that’s left to do is for Betis and Antony to agree to personal terms, with United having already given permission for his medical to take place.

It’s already understood that Antony will be taking a pay cut in his first season to join Real Betis, however there are gradual increases planned around objectives being met, such as qualifying for the Champions League.
