In recent days, Benjamin Sesko has been the centre of interest about Manchester United.

The Slovenian is the Red Devils’ top transfer target for the striker position.

The striker, 22, has to choose between Manchester United and Newcastle United.

Both teams have approached the forward and his agents.

Sesko is regarded by elite clubs as a promising young player who has the potential to become a great player in the future.

Manchester United in particular are pushing hard after missing out on their previous targets.

Liam Delap snubbed them for a move to Chelsea.

Viktor Gyokeres decided to join Arsenal.

A move for Sesko seems to be the Red Devils top priority this summer.

As so, they are pushing hard to acquire the signature of the forward.

And now, there has been yet another major twist in the saga with RB Leipzig making a decision.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Plettigoal via X, Benjamin Sesko is not in the squad for RB Leipzig’s friendly against Atalanta Bergamo today.

The German club has made the decision to not include him with the noise around his name at the moment.

He has reportedly already told teammates that he will be leaving.

A move to the Red Devils might be getting farther away for Sesko now that a Newcastle United bid is on the table.

Particularly when rumours circulated earlier today that Sesko might have chosen Newcastle United, according to Slovenian reports.

Ruben Amorim’s team would suffer yet another severe setback as they would lose out on yet another desirable target.
