Rasmus Hojlund is one of many faces to depart Old Trafford this summer in a period of change within the club.
Prior to the striker officially joining Napoli, there had been debate about where the striker could end up following his spell at United.
But, following the Red Devils and the Naples outfit agreeing terms for a deal, the Danish international travelled to Naples where he underwent his medical tests and media duties.
However, even with Rasmus Hojlund leaving Old Trafford this summer, some details of the deal hadn’t been revealed.
Now, a new detail has been uncovered as Hojlund’s release clause details have been revealed.
According to Fabrizio Romano, speaking on his X account, the release clause in the striker’s contract at Napoli is worth €85 million (£73.7 million) and only valid from summer 2027.
The journalist also revealed that the deal will be split into three years in terms of a payment schedule.
With this news revealed, another key detail of Hojlund’s deal to the Naples outfit has been revealed.
Now, attention will turn towards the striker’s first season in Serie A since 2023, from his time at Atalanta.
Whilst with Napoli, the Danish international will join up with former United player Scott McTominay.
Arguably, the striker will be hoping to replicate the form that originally attracted the interest of Manchester United in 2023 which saw him score ten goals in 34 times.
If he was able to replicate this form whilst with Napoli, we could see the 22-year-old come back to Old Trafford with an increased confidence.
But, with the striker having not made an appearance this season for the Italian champions, attention will arguably also turn towards Rasmus Hojlund’s official debut at Napoli.
Hojlund’s debut could take place in Napoli’s next game against Fiorentina.
