Manchester United continue to monitor the careers of several former talents, many of whom have gone on to forge impressive journeys across Europe.
The summer transfer window has also been full of movement for current United players, with fresh faces arriving at Old Trafford while others are being shown the exit door under the INEOS-led rebuild.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag, who has taken the reins at Bayer Leverkusen, remains heavily involved in shaping his new squad—adding competition in key areas, particularly between the sticks.

But while Leverkusen look to the future, one of their backup options from last season has opted for a fresh start.
Matej Kovar, once seen as a long-term goalkeeping prospect at Manchester United, has sealed a surprise switch to PSV Eindhoven on loan, with an option to make the move permanent next summer, as PSV officially confirmed on their club website.
The Czech international, who played second fiddle to Lukas Hradecky last season at Leverkusen, made several Champions League appearances during their double-winning campaign.
Despite his promise and experience, Matej Kovar has decided to take on a new challenge in the Eredivisie.
His arrival in Eindhoven comes at a crucial time.
With former first-choice Walter Benitez joining Crystal Palace, PSV were in desperate need of quality between the posts.
Kovar will now compete with fellow new signing Nick Olij for the starting role.

PSV confirmed the move in a lengthy statement: “PSV have signed Matej Kovar (25) as their new goalkeeper.
“The Czech international, who has 13 caps, joins on loan from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, with an option to buy.”
Director of Football Earnest Stewart added: “We’ve been following Matej for a long time.
“With him, we welcome a two-footed and reliable goalkeeper, who is also good at playing out from the back.
“Together with Nick Olij, he will now compete to be PSV’s number one.”
Kovar himself was full of praise for his new club, saying: “My girlfriend and everyone who travelled with me have only had positive experiences so far with the people at the club… That just confirms the great feeling I already had about PSV.”
The 25-year-old will wear the number 32 shirt at PSV, a number he associates with AC Milan legend Christian Abbiati.
