Manchester United and PSG are both actively pushing to improve in their squad in the transfer market but for different reasons.

While PSG want to try and retain the UEFA Champions league they won last year, the Red Devils are trying to bounce back from their worst season in history finishing 15th.

Ruben Amorim’s side just played their first game in the USA preseason tour against West Ham United winning 2-1.

PSG lost the Club World Cup 3-0 to Chelsea and are since looking to bolster their squad.

A goalkeeper is high on the agenda of the Red Devils with Andre Onana seen as a liability with Altay Bayindir expected to leave.

Senne Lammens has been linked to a move in recent weeks but nothing concrete as happened yet.

Gianluigi Donnarumma has emerged as a serious target for Ruben Amorim’s side.

And now the Red Devils have been handed a major boost.

According to Fabrizio Romano via X, Paris Saint-Germain has agreed to personal terms with Lucas Chevalier.

He further mentions that talks are ongoing with Lille with the request starting from around £34.8 million.

Romano also mentions that PSG are starting to move as they cannot agree a new deal for Donnarumma.

A move to the Red Devils could be growing with PSG already making moves for his replacement.

This move would make sense too with Donnarumma potentially looking for a new challenge and United needing a new number one.

Over the past few years, Gianluigi Donnarumma has emerged as one of the world’s top goalkeepers, both with PSG and the Italian national team.

He has made 160 appearances, won four Ligue 1, three Trophee des Champions, and one UEFA Champions League trophy since joining the French squad from AC Milan in 2021.

A move to Manchester United could be best for all parties.
