Noussair Mazraoui made his official return from injury in yesterday’s game against Burnley, where he came off the bench in the 70th minute.

CentreDevils exclusively revealed Mazraoui’s return to grass training.

It seems he made significant progress and his cameo showed his qualities yesterday.

The Red Devils decided not to buy a defender this window due to already having enough numbers.

Ayden Heaven, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Tyler Fredricson, and Mazraoui himself are all capable of playing in the back three.

The club opted to upgrade their attack instead.

The signings of Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo are examples of this.

Senne Lammens is also nearing a move, adding another goalkeeper to the side.

A move for a defender is unlikely given the lack of talks around that position.

This could allow Mazraoui to cement his place as a starter in the back three.

But he has now been linked with a move away.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are interested in Manchester United’s Noussair Mazraoui.

A deal is seen as unlikely this late with the Red Devil’s admiration for the defender.

Ruben Amorim clearly wants to keep Mazraoui and sees him as part of the team for the present and the future too.

He can play on both sides of defence and has even been used in midfield, demonstrating his versatility.

In Amorim’s back three, he will mostly play as the right-sided centre-back.

Additionally, he can play wingback too.

Patrick Dorgu, Harry Amass, Amad, Diogo Dalot, and Diego Leon can all play in the wide positions too offering cover and competition.

Mazraoui will play a key part in the upcoming season and United fans will be keen on his return.
