Nottingham Forest are having a stellar season.

After years of mediocrity, the former European Cup winners are challenging to get back into European football’s premier competition.

Under manager Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest are fighting with the big boys of English football and looking to claim UEFA Champions League football.

For a club that were playing in League One in the 2007/08 and then only returned to the top flight in 2022/23, it’s a remarkable rise.

Not only does the manager have to take credit, but some of the players do as well.

In Anthony Elanga, a former Manchester United player, they have one of the most devastating wingers playing in the English Premier League right now.

Chris Wood, Murillo, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Nikola Milenkovic are some of the others who are also playing out of their skin this campaign.

Speaking to Football Insider, former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown has revealed that the club are interested in signing Morgan Gibbs-White.

With 5 goals and 7 assists for Forest so far this season, the 25 year-old has been showcasing his immense talent at the City Ground.

Gibbs-White has been in such good form that he’s even managed to get himself named recently in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.

Since moving to Nottingham Forest from fellow Midlands side Wolverhampton Wanderers, Morgan Gibbs-White has shown that he has the capacity to be a difference maker in the English Premier League.

Mick Brown claims that United head coach Ruben Amorim is a big fan of Gibbs-White and sees him fitting perfectly into his system.

However, the cost of acquiring such a talented player may raise difficulties at Old Trafford.

With Nottingham Forest expected to be getting European football, they would be likely unlikely to want to let one of their star men leave on the cheap.

Brown believes that United would have to less players to even get close to the figure that Forest would be looking for.

So while Manchester United may like the look of Morgan Gibbs-White, it may be a difficult transfer to them to pull off.
