Manchester United are continuing to accumulate some impressive players as Ruben Amorim digs in to try to restore The Red Devils to their winning ways.

Last season saw the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui and Leny Yoro move to the club to attempt to restore the defence, with all three adapting well to Amorim’s concept of a back three.

Alongside them Patrick Dorgu was signed from Lecce as the first-choice left-back at Old Trafford, and is showing glimpses of what the future could hold for the Denmark international.

However, United have also signed another impressive left-back to add to the mix of Dorgu and Harry Amass, with Diego Leon signing from Cerro Porteno.

The Paraguayan defender was signed by United in the winter, however had to wait for his 18th birthday to be able to complete on the move and join The Red Devils.

His signing came only six months after graduating from the Cerro Porteno academy, instantly making himself a vital part of the club’s defence.

Since his debut last July, Leon’s made 33 appearances for the club, registering four goals, showing the attacking threat he can be on the wing.

Now, Uriel Lugt has taken to X to reveal an image of Diego Leon with his parents at the airport ready to fly to England to start his journey as a United player.

The 18-year-old is keen to get to Carrington ahead of the pre-season training beginning to fight for a place in the squad ready for next season.
