Manchester United target Matheus Cunha has sent out the latest signal of his intent this summer.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers forward has been linked extensively to the Red Devils in the last month, with a move reportedly getting closer.
Cunha had signed a contract extension with Wolves in February, after any possibility of him leaving the Molineux in January ended.
But following the extension, it was revealed that a £60m release clause can be triggered by any interested club this summer.
According to numerous reports, United are keen on bringing the Brazilian to Old Trafford this summer, and negotiations are well on their way to completion.
Cunha has hinted at a move away from the West Midlands this summer already, posting an Instagram story just a couple of weeks ago that read: “Time to be happy. I will follow my dreams, not yours… so stay cool.”
The post enraged Wolves fans, who have shared a strained relationship with Cunha since his contract extension.
And the forward looks to have dropped the latest hint that his future could lie in Manchester.
Lew, a graphic designer, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share that Cunha had liked his Instagram story.
The story contained an edited picture of the Brazilian striker wearing a Manchester United shirt, while playing at Old Trafford.
The like, while not direct confirmation of a move taking place, further indicates the forward’s intention to join the Red Devils this summer.
The 25-year-old, who joined Wolves from Atletico Madrid in 2023, has scored 16 goals so far this season, including 14 in the Premier League.
While Wolves have fought relegation for much of the season, Cunha has provided a reliable goal-scorer for Vitor Pereira’s team, who have now officially confirmed their safety.
