Manchester United are in the midst of a squad overhaul under Ruben Amorim, with several high-profile players potentially leaving Old Trafford.

The club has already shown that no player is untouchable under the new management, and key decisions will be made in the upcoming transfer window.

With United’s focus now on strengthening their squad for the new season, some players are beginning to seek moves away from the club.

One such player, Marcus Rashford, has made it clear that his future lies elsewhere, and he’s prepared to take drastic steps to ensure he gets his move.

Marcus Rashford, once a key figure in Manchester United’s attack, is reportedly willing to take a pay cut to facilitate his dream move to Barcelona, as per The Mirror.

The England forward has set his sights on joining the Spanish giants, with the hope of drawing a line under his turbulent time at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim.

Rashford’s relationship with United has soured, particularly after he was dropped from the squad for their 2-1 win over Manchester City in December.

This marked the beginning of his departure, which was formalized in January with a loan move to Aston Villa.

At Villa, Marcus Rashford has rediscovered his form, scoring four goals and providing six assists, although a recent injury has sidelined him.

Despite his progress at Villa, the 26-year-old has no intention of making a permanent move there, with Barcelona being his preferred destination.

The financial aspect of a potential transfer to Barcelona remains a challenge, as Rashford’s current wages of £350,000-a-week are a significant stumbling block.

However, sources close to the player suggest that he is prepared to accept a pay cut to secure the move.

United, keen on offloading Rashford to reduce their wage bill and raise funds for the rebuild under Amorim, are open to selling the forward this summer.

With Villa holding a £40million option to buy, but Rashford preferring a move abroad, United’s next steps will be crucial.

Talks are expected to take place in the coming weeks to finalize the player’s future, and Rashford’s representatives will be sitting down with United to discuss potential options, including a possible loan to Barcelona.
