Three days into the January transfer window, the everchanging saga that is the future of Marcus Rashford has taken a new turn.
Rashford looks set to leave Manchester United after he commented in a recent interview: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”
The comments came as he was dropped from the squad for the Manchester Derby in December and has been out of the line-ups since, sitting on the bench to face Newcastle.
United have been clear they’re looking to sell the striker, with several suitors flocking to monitor the England international.
However, despite his comments, Rashford is reportedly open to staying at Old Trafford, wanting to give his all to the team to impress under Ruben Amorim.
The United staff are reportedly impressed by the 27-year-old, who is focusing on applying himself in training.
However, it’s not enough just yet to remove his “for sale” tag in this transfer window.
Rashford is taking matters into his own hands though. The striker has ruled out any move to Turkey or Saudi Arabia, wanting to remain with a competitive team to win back his England slot.
Already, he has rejected three offers from Saudi clubs, which would have made him the highest-paid English player ever, at £675,000 per week.
However, The Sun has now reported that Rashford could find himself in a sensational swap deal.

Marcus Rashford for Victor Osimhen
Manchester United are now considering using Rashford in a swap-dal for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian striker has been on United’s shortlist for some time now, with Osimhen out of favour with Napoli boss Antonio Conte so currently on loan in Turkey.
With 12 goals and five assists in 15 games for Galatasaray, the striker is certainly in form, with United desperate for a clinical finisher to end their goalless run.
Amorim is now looking to capitalise on Conte’s interest in Rashford, using it as a way of landing one of their top targets.
Whilst Osimhen is on loan, he has a £62 million release clause to bring him back to Napoli this month, allowing for a transfer to take place.
