Manchester United are keen to bolster their strike options this summer after a disappointing season on the goalscoring front.
With Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee being Ruben Amorim’s only senior options as strikers, the Portuguese manager is short of reliable options.
Whilst Zirkzee managed to grab his sixth goal of the season last night against Real Sociedad in the Europa League, the fixture marked Hojlund’s 19th consecutive game without a goal contribution, let alone a goal.
As such, the United recruitment team are scouring Europe to line up a shortlist of strikers to target in the summer.
Unfortunately, with limited funds for transfers given the financial pressures the club are experiencing, a big-name, big-money signing is out of the question.
However, Caught Offside has reported United are looking to make an incredible signing on a free transfer.

Manchester United renew interest in Jonathan David
LOSC Lille’s Jonathan David is in tremendous form this season, with the Canadian striker grabbing 21 goals and ten assists in 38 games.
With David’s contract expiring in June, the striker is eligible for a free transfer at the end of the season, presenting United with a unique opportunity to grab a young, in-form striker for nothing.
However, as expected, The Red Devils aren’t the only club hoping to land the 25-year-old’s signature.
United will have to do battle with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Newcastle United who are all looking to swoop in for David.
David has previously expressed a desire to join the Premier League with a top club, however it’s unknown how the striker feels about United’s recent results.
