With Joshua Zirkzee currently in Manchester for a medical assessment ahead of his move to Old Trafford, we can now focus on who the next signing for the Red Devils will be.

United have got four major deals in the works, with another player waiting in the wings to make it five.

The most likely next deal will be with Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt who is welcoming a move to United to rekindle a strong partnership with Erik ten Hag which they formed at Ajax, winning the Dutch domestic double. Personal terms have been agreed with the centre-back as United now look to agree a fee with Bayern who are asking for £42 million which appears to be fine by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Also on the horizon is Leny Yoro from LOSC Lille who United are battling with Real Madrid for. United’s initial bid of  €50 million has surpassed Madrid’s, making Lille’s preference to offload the centre-back to Old Trafford. However, it’s known that Yoro’s preference is to move to the Spanish capital, however United are confident of persuading the Frenchman to join the Premier League, with the LaLiga champions looking at alternatives for if they miss out.

Yet another centre-back on the table for United is Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite. Erik ten Hag is yet to give up on the English defender, with the Red Devils preparing a third offer for the star believed to be valued at £45 million plus £5 million in add-ons, increasing their bid from last time, however still falling short of Everton’s desired £70 million.

Next we move to midfield with PSG’s Manuel Ugarte being see as a priority target to join defensive midfield alongside Kobbie Mainoo. United are reported as being in constant talks with PSG over the Uruguayan, with the French side keen to offload Ugarte who they bought for £53 million from Sporting Lisbon.

Ugarte is thought to be a perfect replacement for Casemiro if the Brazilian is due to leave Old Trafford this summer following a disappointing season. At the moment, the 32-year-old is most heavily linked to Saudi Arabia, with members of the Saudi Pro League looking to part with considerable funds to sign the veteran midfielder.

Finally we have RedBull Leipzig’s Dani Olmo who has completely lit up Euro 2024 and is going into the final with Spain with a chance at winning the Golden Boot if he scores in the final. With Manchester City having pulled out of the race for the midfielder’s signature, United have been given a massive boost as front runners to sign the Spanish star.

Reports from GIVEMESPORT have announced that Olmo is ‘open to an Old Trafford switch’, giving even more hope to Erik ten Hag’s ide securing a deal with Leipzig over the coming weeks.
