Manchester United are under pressure to deliver a strong transfer window after a disastrous 2024/25 campaign that saw them finish a shocking 15th in the Premier League.

Fans have made it clear – a serious rebuild is needed.

INEOS along with Sir Jim Ratcliffe are expected to back Ruben Amorim with statement signings across the pitch.

The £62.5m arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolves has been well received by the media and fans.

There’s also growing confidence that Bryan Mbeumo will follow from Brentford, with a third bid in the works.

Momentum is slowly building, and as news circulated earlier today, United have now turned their attention to a new No.1 – Brazilian goalkeeper John Victor.

According to Bolavip, the Red Devils are now actively working to sign the Botafogo star.

A £10m deal is being lined up to close the agreement imminently.

Victor has become a cult figure at Botafogo after helping the club to both the Copa Libertadores and Brasileirao titles.

The 29-year-old has earned a reputation for big-game performances and clutch saves.

He was instrumental in a 1-0 win over PSG in June this year, and is seen as a perfect fit for United’s goalkeeping needs going forward.

Especially with Andre Onana’s long-term role, which still remains uncertain.

Botafogo fans are already bracing for his exit.

United’s interest is serious too, dating back to late 2024 where initial interest was known.

While owner John Textor admires the player, Bolavip say no one at the club is deemed non-negotiable if the right offer arrives.

It’d pose as an exciting deal to United fans – if the deal gets over the line.

Especially if Victor arrives at United before pre-season officially starts.

It would allow the goalkeeper to adjust to life in England, while settling in with his new teammates.

Cohesion, which has been a lacking problem at United over the years.
