Manchester United are once again looking to South America for fresh talent.
The club have ramped up efforts to scout emerging players from the contingent, eager to tap into the wealth of potential.
South America have produced some of the world’s best footballers.
An area United have failed to capitalise on in recent years.
That trend could be about to change.
United are already close to securing a deal for Paraguayan wonderkid Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno.
Scouts remain active and have identified another exciting talent who could fit into the club’s future plans.
The player in question has caught the eye with his consistent performances and versatility in midfield.

That player is Christian Ordonez, a vital piece for Velez Sarsfield in the Argentine Primera Division.
Ordonez has recently played a key role in their recent Clausura triumph.
Speaking to El Eco this week, Ordonez expressed his pride saying “it’s incredible to win a championship with club that saw you grow up.”
Ordonez’s performances as a box-to-box midfielder have caught the attention of Argentine giants River Plate.
River Plate are said to be monitoring his situation closely.
However, River Noticias reports that a move to United would not only be more lucrative for Velez, but also an easier sell to their fanbase.
The 20-year-old has made 69 appearances for Velez, scoring once and assisting six times.
Ordonez is under contract until December 2025.
However, interest from Europe could accelerate his departure.
United are expected to continue tracking his development closely.
A deal for Ordonez may not materialise in January, but the club see him as a player with strong potential.
With uncertainty over the futures of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, United are planning for the next generation.
