Manchester United’s attacking shortcomings have become a growing concern for the club’s hierarchy as the new season draws closer.
Ruben Amorim is still pushing to implement his ideas, but United’s attack has lacked edge, intensifying the club’s pursuit of a proven striker.
Offloading fringe players remains a top priority, with United’s recruitment strategy dependent on generating funds and clearing space in the squad.

Several forwards have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but the club is treading carefully to avoid another big-money misstep.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has revealed new information about the names under consideration in United’s striker search.
According to Romano via YouTube, Manchester United recently held internal discussions on multiple striker options – some of which may surprise fans.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that United considered going for Ollie Watkins, a more experienced option who could provide Premier League-proven firepower.
In addition, he reported that United also discussed a potential move for Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, in a surprising twist that included the possibility of Alejandro Garnacho being involved in a swap deal.

These discussions took place two weeks ago and were part of a broader debate within the club on the type of forward required to lead the line next season.
Romano added that while there have been many fan questions about Benjamin Sesko, there are no active negotiations for the RB Leipzig striker at present – only internal conversations.
He was also clear that United are intent on signing a new striker, and it won’t simply be a back-up.
The goal is to land someone significant to lead the attack under Amorim’s new system.
However, the club’s transfer activity remains hinged on player sales, which will need to be accelerated if United are to get their man before the window closes.
The Red Devils are clearly in striker mode – but whether it’s a Premier League star, a youth-and-potential gamble, or a sensational swap deal, remains to be seen.
