According to Sports Witness, Manchester United are interested in Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, who joined the Serie A side last summer.

The Brazilian international, once at Manchester City, has experience in the Premier League and excelled during his time with Aston Villa under Unai Emery.

Villa’s financial struggles led to his move to Juventus, where Luiz has since struggled for regular playing time.

The 26-year-old has only started two games this season and made nine appearances overall, suggesting he is not favored by Juventus boss Thiago Motta.

United see this as an opportunity to bring Luiz back to England, where he displayed some of the best form of his career.

Negotiations could be aided by the fact Luiz shares an agent with Red Devils forward Joshua Zirkzee, who is reportedly on Juventus’s radar.

A potential move could benefit all parties, giving Luiz a fresh start and Man United a quality addition to their midfield ranks.

Juventus may also see this deal as an opportunity to secure Zirkzee while easing their financial burden.
