Manchester United reveal their new asking price for Alejandro Garnacho as Napoli’s initial bid is rejected.

Manchester United have officially rejected Napoli’s opening bid for Alejandro Garnacho.

The Italian club have been desperate to sign the winger this January, however they’ll have to advance their efforts to get a deal across the line.

Whilst the Azzurri have secured a verbal agreement with Garnacho to joint the club, they are yet to agree a deal with United.

Conte is determined to secure his first choice winger, set to step into the starting eleven alongside former teammate Scott McTominay.

The pair are still in contact with their friendship lasting beyond the Scotland international’s departure from Old Trafford.

Now Napoli are hoping to secure another successful purchase despite an initial rejection.

Napoli have first bid for Alejandro Garnacho rejected

The Mirror have now reported that United have rejected the £40 million offer for Garnacho.

The Red Devils were originally holding out for £70 million however have decided to lower this, however not by much.

United’s new valuation is £60 million for the winger, with Napoli needing to cough up a further £20 million to sign the star.

It’s understood that United are wanting Napoli to match their recent transfer fee of offloading Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to pay for Garnacho seen as Conte views the United youngster as a natural successor.
