Nico Williams has had a great run of form for Athletic Bilbao, with Manchester United very keen to sign the left winger next summer.
Williams graduated from the Bilbao youth academy in 2021 and has since grabbed 21 goals and 27 assists in 131 games for the LaLiga side.
The winger’s impressive run of form got him a call up to the Spanish national side for this summer’s Euro 2024, with Spain pipping England to the title in the final.

Now though, Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Williams.
Transfer race for Nice Williams
It’s no surprise that Nico Williams is attracting a lot of attention from too European clubs, with a move away from Athletic Bilbao next summer.
United are up against the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona to sign his signature next summer.
Now an interview with the man himself has given a boost to those in pursuit of winger.
Speaking to El Mundo about a potential transfer, Williams said: “I’m not thinking about that right now,”
He continued: “The fans are very happy that I’m staying here and I’m very happy to be here. Bilbao is my home, I want to continue enjoying it and the truth is that I’m very happy.
“I’ve always had things very clear and I think people see that. I think I’m doing really well and trying to take Athletic to the top in Spain and in Europe, with that final in San Mames that excites us so much. That’s the only thing that matters now.”
Whilst Williams is pledging his short term future to Bilbao, his only focus is the 2024/25 season, meaning that he isn’t completely saying no to a transfer next summer.
