Alphonso Davies has recently been highlighted as one of Manchester United’s key target’s for 2025, needing a long-term left-back to join the club.
Whilst Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are close to returning for the club, United are looking to other options to fit into Amorim’s new playstyle.
Davies’ contract with Bayern Munich expires in the summer, making him eligible for negotiations around a free transfer in January.
United have been keen to sign the world-class defender, even going so far as offering a “blank cheque” for him to choose his own wage at Old Trafford.
This week reports emerged that Alphonso Davies has committed to join Real Madrid in 2025 on a free agent, with United set to miss out on their top left-back target.

However, the king of the transfer window, Fabrizio Romano has restored hope in United’s pursuit of the Canadian international.
Romano has spoken to Davies’ agent, Nedal Huoseh who has in fact debunked the recent rumour.
Fabrizio Romano reveals future prospects for Alphonso Davies
Speaking to Romano, Huoseh commented: “Done deal with Real Madrid? This is NOT true”.
He continued: “Though the player has many options, we have not agreed terms with any club.
“New deal at FC Bayern could also be an option. Any reports suggesting otherwise are incorrect”.
These comments from Davies’ agent will certainly be music to the ears of United fans who thought the race for the exciting defender had been lost.
