Manchester United are currently focused on finalising a deal for Benjamin Sesko.

Talks have been ongoing with both the player’s representatives and RB Leipzig.

United are expected to submit a formal bid once personal terms are agreed with the Slovenian striker.

The Red Devils have already completed the signings of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, securing their business earlier than in previous windows.

Although the Mbeumo transfer took over a month to conclude, getting both attackers in early is a big positive.

Ruben Amorim will be pleased to have Cunha and Mbeumo available for pre-season.

Mbeumo is set to make his unofficial debut tonight against Everton.

The manager will now have time to experiment with his new attacking options before the Premier League season begins.

However, United’s work in the market is far from done.

The club are still exploring moves for a new goalkeeper and a midfielder.

Signing both may prove challenging, but sales from the so-called “bomb squad” could provide the funds needed.

Talks have been ongoing regarding potential moves for Emiliano Martinez and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

However, other names have also emerged on the goalkeeper shortlist.

One of them is Botafogo’s highly-rated keeper John Victor.

Now, according to CaughtOffside, Manchester United are prepared to trigger his release clause and hijack the deal from West Ham United.

United are closely monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation and are holding internal discussions about a potential move.

They are keen to bring in an experienced yet cost-effective goalkeeper before the transfer window closes on September 1.

West Ham have already submitted an €8 million bid for Victor, reports CaughtOffside.

Galatasaray are also in the mix, with the Turkish club considering him a long-term successor to Fernando Muslera.

Victor put on a stunning display and helped his side reach the Round of 16 by securing a famous 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain.
