Manchester United’s struggles in attack have been a major concern this season.
The team has lacked a clinical edge in front of goal, failing to create and convert chances at the level expected of them.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have not delivered consistently, combining for just a handful of goals in the Premier League.
Hojlund is still adapting to the demands of English football, while Zirkzee has yet to find his rhythm.
Manager Ruben Amorim knows improvements are needed if United are to turn their season around.
Adding fresh quality to the squad is vital, but the players brought in must fit the system and offer immediate impact.
The transfer market is now the club’s focus.
A transfer target has now been ramped up, becoming the club’s priority.

United have learned that Leroy Sane could be available for just £20-25 million this month.
Sane himself had his say on the links between his camp and United, before the turn of the year.
The German winger’s future at Bayern Munich remains uncertain, with his contract set to expire in June.
Reports suggest Bayern are trying to convince Sane to stay but may be forced to sell him to avoid losing him for free.
United are reportedly a serious option for the player and have already made enquiries about signing him.
According to Football Insider, Bayern Munich would accept offers in the £20-25 million range if Sane does not renew his deal.
“Bayern Munich could accept offers of £20-25million for Man City target Leroy Sane if he does not sign a new deal,” the outlet claims.
Sane, now 29, has entered the final six months of his contract and can agree a pre-contract elsewhere.
To avoid that scenario, Bayern have placed an attractive price on him to raise funds from his sale.
The Red Devils face competition from Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea for the winger’s signature.
Sane has scored five goals and provided one assist in 19 appearances under Vincent Kompany this season.
Premier League clubs know Sane’s quality, having seen him score 39 goals in 135 matches during his four seasons at City.
With Marcus Rashford likely to leave this winter, United need reinforcements, and Sane offers Premier League experience.
