Manchester United are preparing for a major revamp in attack this summer, with fresh reinforcements being targeted to ease the burden on an unbalanced forward line.

Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund have had plenty of gametime, but have struggled for consistency in front of goal.

Much of this has been down to the overwhelming reliance placed on two still-developing players.

Bruno Fernandes remaining the only proven and established attacking figure capable of regularly influencing matches at the top level.

Now, as part of their attacking plans, United are set to explore potential deals with several players.

One attacker from Serie A has been on Red Devils’ radar, as he looks set to be on the move this summer.

Manchester United to hold talks in deal for Ademola Lookman

Sources have informed CaughtOffside that United are preparing to hold talks with Ademola Lookman, who has enjoyed a standout campaign in Italy, registering 25 goal contributions this season across all competitions.

As previously reported on CentreDevils, discussions have also included the possibility of a swap deal that could see Rasmus Hojlund move to Italy.

It remains to be seen how far talks progress.

But the idea could appeal to both clubs as they look to reshape their squads ahead of the new campaign.

Barcelona and Juventus are also interested in signing the player.

However, financial obstacles make a move to England increasingly likely.

Manchester United are among four Premier League clubs to bring him back to the Premier League.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are the clubs believed to be interested too.

For United, adding more clinical edge to their attack is a top priority.

Although Champions League qualification may play a big part.

Without reinforcements, there is a real risk of continued overreliance on Garnacho and Hojlund.

With very little backup in the wider or central attacking areas.

The summer window promises to be a defining one as United look to rebuild their frontline with a sharper, more experienced presence capable of making an immediate impact.
