Manchester United monitoring Premier League star striker

The 25-year-old has relished his time in the Premier League and may well be on the move this year.

The struggles Manchester United have faced in attack this season, have been a major concern.

The team has lacked a clinical edge in front of goal, failing to create and convert chances at the level expected of them.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have not delivered consistently, combining for just a handful of goals in the Premier League.

Hojlund is still adapting to the demands of English football, while Zirkzee has yet to find his rhythm.

Manager Ruben Amorim knows improvements are needed if United are to turn their season around.

Adding fresh quality to the squad is vital, but the players brought in must fit the system and offer immediate impact.

The transfer market is now the club’s focus.

One player in particular has been destroying Premier League opposition apart.

That player is Bryan Mbeumo, who has arguably been Brentford’s most influential player this season.

According to RMC Sport, United are among two other Premier League rivals interested in the attacker.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are the other two interested.

Mbeumo has recorded 13 goals in 21 Premier League goals this season.

A stat very much impressive considering he has featured at times on the wing and in a two striker partnership.

Many predicted Brentford to decline after the loss of Ivan Toney.

However, Mbeumo has very much fulfilled the boots of the striker, producing the goods on a consistent basis.

It is believed that the Bees will want more than £50 million for the striker, considering the level of interest.

The 25-year-old is also still at a good age, thus providing as a short and long-term option should he leave.

Mbeumo would very much be a welcome addition to a struggling attack under Ruben Amorim this season.
