Manchester United have been deliberating between Emiliano Martinez and Senne Lammens as potential goalkeeper options to replace Andre Onana this summer.
The club, who have signed many names this summer including Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko, have not yet recruited in the goalkeeper position.
Initially, it looked like the Red Devils were going to move towards Emiliano Martinez as their new number one with United making a formally contacting him earlier in the window.
Furthermore, Manchester United had advanced to try and sign the ‘keeper.
But, the two clubs were unable to complete the deal fully leaving the deal on a knife-edge.
Whilst United’s pursuit of Martinez came earlier, their pursuit of Senne Lammens arguably has got closer than the deal between Martinez and the Red Devils got.
The goalkeeper, currently of Royal Antwerp, has previously agreed terms and given his green light to a move to Old Trafford, as exclusively revealed by centredevils.
But, with other clubs such as Galatasaray also reported to be pursuing his services, a deal for the ‘keeper is currently uncomplete.
However, earlier today, Manchester United made a last-ditch effort to try and sign Martinez with the club and goalkeeper agreeing terms for a move to United.
But, with both deals still uncomplete, the Red Devils have now chosen to focus their efforts on one goalkeeper.
According to The Telegraph, Manchester United have made Senne Lammens their GK priority.
Furthermore, the publication has stated that United are now speaking club-to-club with Royal Antwerp.
With this news revealed, we may see Ruben Amorim’s side move their efforts towards completing a deal for Senne Lammens.
But, with other clubs in the conversation for Lammens and with the transfer window close to closing, nothing can be guaranteed yet.
