Manchester United’s summer transfer activity is already gaining momentum, with new head coach Ruben Amorim set to play a key role in reshaping the club’s attacking department.

The Red Devils are expected to be active in the upcoming transfer window, especially after their underwhelming domestic campaign left them scrambling for consistency in front of goal.

With INEOS looking to support Amorim’s vision, plans are in place to overhaul several attacking positions to provide more depth and dynamism.

While the spotlight remains on United’s pursuit of a marquee forward, there is growing internal recognition of the need to find creative solutions before the market officially opens.

United’s recruitment team has been praised internally for being proactive in identifying multiple options early in the window, with a contingency plan already drawn up should their main target prove elusive.

Manchester United’s interest in Wolves forward Matheus Cunha has intensified in recent weeks, with the Brazilian emerging as the club’s top target for the No.10 role this summer.

Matheus Cunha has been in sensational form in the Premier League, registering 14 goals and four assists despite Wolves enduring an inconsistent campaign.

The 25-year-old’s attacking output far surpasses that of United’s current midfield options, with Bruno Fernandes topping their scoring charts on just eight goals and Rasmus Hojlund managing only three in 28 appearances.

Cunha is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford, and United are optimistic that a deal can be struck, although his £62.5 million release clause and the need to agree personal terms still pose challenges.

According to David Ornstein, United are not placing all their hopes on Cunha alone and have already earmarked two Premier League alternatives should talks collapse.

Ornstein told NBC Sports Soccer that Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling are both on United’s radar as secondary options.

While neither player boasts the same profile or goal return as Matheus Cunha, both have been monitored for months and fit the age and style criteria set by the club’s recruitment team.

The proactive approach comes as a refreshing shift in strategy, especially given United’s history of last-minute scrambles and failed pursuits.

There’s no room for errors this summer — and with backup plans in place, United are determined to ensure their rebuild gets off to a flying start.
