Fabrizio Romano has already confirmed that the club WILL sign a new striker.
But the level of striker they can afford remains uncertain.
As per the latest from GiveMeSport, Amorim’s dream targets are Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
Both would add proven firepower to United’s attack.
Gyokeres is expected to cost around €70m (£60m) if he leaves Sporting.
Osimhen – once he returns from his loan spell at Galatasaray—will be available for €75m (£62m) via his release clause.
Both are 26 years old and in their prime.
However, concerns remain over whether United can finance either deal.

As a result, the club have formed a backup plan.
According to GMS, United have identified Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap as a ‘serious’ and ‘more attainable’ alternative.
The 22-year-old has been a revelation following his £20m switch from Manchester City.
He has spearheaded Ipswich’s survival fight, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in the Premier League so far.
At 22, United see him as a player with significant potential.
Unlike Gyokeres or Osimhen – who are already at their peak – Delap has room to improve.
Manchester City included a buy-back clause in their deal with Ipswich.
However, with Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush at the Etihad, there is no urgent need for them to bring him back.
United are not the only club monitoring Liam Delap.
Chelsea and Tottenham are also tracking the Ipswich striker.
