Manchester United are looking to the summer transfer window to rebuild their squad, however their financial struggles are providing a real challenge.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe announced earlier this year that the club’s financial mismanagement over the years have led to the club on the brink of being bust by Christmas this year without his intervention.
As such, the club are facing transfer windows with very little budget available.
This is leading to the club relying on sales before being able to sign any major names.
United are therefore having to prioritise free agents or cheaper alternatives, such as Liam Delap as a proven Premier League striker with a £30 million release clause over Victor Osimhen’s £62.5 million clause.
However, with the club looking to talented free agents, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah as a potential signing.

Manchester United consider Jonathan Tah for a summer move
Sky Sports reporter Paul Gilmour has reported that The Red Devils are actively considering the Germany international to reinforce Amorim’s defence.
The centre-back’s contract ends in the summer with Tah set to leave the Bundesliga club without his next club lined up.
Unfortunately for United, they’re up against Europe’s elite for his signature with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona monitoring the defender.
It’s understood that Real Madrid are the strongest contenders with Leverkusen’s manager Xabi Alonso looking likely to be the next manager of Los Blancos.
As such Jonathan Tah could follow him to the Spanish capital, with Barcelona being ruled out as an option due to concerns over finance & registration issues.
