Manchester United have been in the market for a goalkeeper for the majority of this summer as the Red Devils look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
During the transfer window, we have seen United target Emiliano Martinez as a potential signing in the goalkeeper position.
The World Cup winner had been formally contacted by the Old Trafford outfit last month and was formally approached by the club recently.

But, the chances of the Argentina international joining are not clear yet.
Another goalkeeper that Ruben Amorim’s side have targeted is John Victor from Botafogo.
The Brazilian made 14 appearances in the Brazilian Serie A last season.
But, just as with Martinez, the chances of Victor joining the Red Devils are uncertain.
Whilst these two goalkeepers have been two targets that have been of a high interest, Gianluigi Donnarumma is a name that has been linked with the Red Devils.
The links between the player and Manchester United have not been as strong as the other two goalkeepers.
Therefore, his name is one that has not been as mentioned during the window.
However, with his contract running out at Paris Saint Germain (PSG), the prospect of him moving away from the French club can be said to be high.

If United were to sign the goalkeeper, they would be getting an experienced and immensely talented individual.
But, Ruben Amorim’s side will face competition if they are to sign the goalkeeper.
This is because, according to Le Equipe, Manchester City have joined the Red Devils in the race for the 26-year-old.
However, with Manchester City recently signing James Trafford, the probability of City signing Gianluigi Donnarumma could be affected.
Only time will tell in the battle for the goalkeeper.
