Manchester United’s plans for the upcoming transfer window continue to take shape as Ruben Amorim’s overhaul intensifies.
Several big-name players are expected to depart in the summer, as the Portuguese tactician looks to reshape the squad in his image.
Amorim has made it clear that long-term vision and structure matter more than short-term gains, even if that means sacrificing star names along the way.
Despite a growing list of injuries, the manager has remained firm in his belief that trimming the squad in January was necessary to reset the culture at Old Trafford.
One of the players who left in January now finds himself at a crossroads, with his future once again in the spotlight.
Marcus Rashford’s time at Aston Villa could be cut short after the forward suffered a hamstring injury in training last week.
The 27-year-old was expected to play a key role for Unai Emery’s side in the final stretch of the season, but his campaign now looks all but over.
With Villa’s final game against Manchester United — a fixture Marcus Rashford is ineligible for — his last opportunity to feature would have been the May 18 clash with Spurs.

However, it appears unlikely he’ll be fit in time for that game, prompting discussions between United and Villa about recalling him early, as per The Sun.
There is also a £40m buy option in place as part of the original loan agreement, but Rashford’s injury may complicate any permanent move.
United are reportedly open to offers for the England international, and he is expected to hold talks with the club before mid-June to determine his future.
Speaking on Rashford’s situation, Unai Emery confirmed: “He’s injured… it is his hamstring.
“We are going to try to test him each match but he’s injured and probably won’t be available for some weeks.”
Marcus Rashford is understood to be undecided about his next step, though it’s clear he has no long-term future at Old Trafford under Amorim.
Amorim recently stood by his decision to send Rashford and £86m winger Antony out on loan in January, saying: “We can hurt the squad now but in the future it is going to help the club.”
As things stand, Rashford’s chapter at Manchester United appears to be nearing its end — but the final decision is yet to be made.
