Manchester United have spent heavily on their forward line this summer, with Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo all arriving in big-money moves.
Mbeumo and Cunha have already shown fans what they are capable of, despite United’s opening day loss to Arsenal.
Such investment has however, only heightened the pressure on the club to generate funds through sales.
Outgoings are now regarded as just as important as incomings.
Several names have already been identified as likely departures, with Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Rasmus Hojlund all facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford.
Jadon Sancho’s case is similar in that his United career is effectively over.
However, he has yet to settle on his next destination despite multiple links.
Roma remain hopeful they can be the club to end the uncertainty, and talks are continuing this week.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s report, United have become an “ally” of the Giallorossi by making it clear to Sancho that Roma are the only serious option on the table.

Manager Gian Piero Gasperini has also been in contact with the winger via video calls to try and persuade him of the project in the Italian capital.
An unexpected helping hand has arrived from Leon Bailey.
The Jamaican is due in Rome shortly and is reportedly working to convince his close friend Sancho to join him at the club.
Although the 24-year-old has so far been reluctant to approve a move, Di Marzio notes there is renewed optimism within Roma’s camp after a day of mixed signals.
Spanish outlet AS earlier reported Sancho is nearing a move to Besiktas, adding further intrigue to the saga.
For United, sealing Sancho’s exit would represent an important step in balancing the books, with the winger no longer part of Ruben Amorim’s plans.
The Red Devils will be keen to get Sancho’s wages off the books – a factor that had been the main stumbling block when negotiating with clubs.
Sancho has been said to be happy to decrease his wages with Roma – a factor that has very much helped speed up talks.
Still, United fans will be grateful to see any help from Bailey, as long as it means Sancho is out the door come the end of the window.
